STARS Conference

The Peace Corps Volunteer coordinated STARS (Students Taking Action Reaching for Success)Conference promoting leadership and youth development was held May 29th, 2011- June 4th, 2011 at KNUST (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology) in Kumasi. This is the second time I've participated in the conference and it is definitely a highlight of my Peace Corps Service.

Each year students from all over Ghana come together to learn and celebrate leadership and potential. This year's conference was a total hit. We did HIV/AIDS education, Hands-On Activities, Community Service, and Tertiary Education Day.
